As Cold As Ice

Posted in Ice Hotel on March 5, 2008 by rsidman

Ice Hotel, sweeden,Arne Bergh & Oke Larsson, 2005, joa

In 1989 the world’s first ice hotel was built near the village of Jukkasjarvi, Kiruna, Sweden. The entire hotel is made entirely out of iceblocks, including the glasses in the bar. The first guests to actually occupy the hotel, slept in sleeping bags on top of reindeer skin, due to a lack of accomadation in the town.

So girls, if your husband accuses you of being an Ice Queen, maybe a romantic weekend in Sweden could inject some passion back into your life.

Coandă effect

Posted in ET, Strange but true, UFO on January 31, 2008 by philipvonk
The Coandă effect (IPA: ['kwandə]), also known as “boundary layer attachment”, is the tendency of a stream of fluid to stay attached to a convex surface, rather than follow a straight line in its original direction. The principle was named after Romanian discoverer Henri Coandă, who was the first to understand the practical importance of the phenomenon for aircraft development.

The Etheric Body

Posted in Strange but true on January 31, 2008 by rsidman

Science has come a long way in the twentieth century, but one can’t help but admire how our Eastern counteparts have always been way ahead of us in some respect, in terms of explaining how illness manifests in the etheric body, before appearing in the physical counterpart. Eastern Philosophy has always spoken about the chakra system, which refers to seven main points in the body. Chakras are usually depicted as spinning vortices of coloured energies, which correspond to the physical organs in the body. Many psychic and spiritually evolved people, can usually see these quite clearly.

Back in 1877 the canal system on Mars was observed by  the Italian astronomer (mentioned by H G Wells in War of the Worlds) Giovanni Schiaparelli, these observations were later confirmed by others and the Irish astronomer Charles E. Burton made drawings of the canal system.

If they could see them with the instruments available over 100 years ago why can’t they see them now, another conspiracy
